Approvability studies
Can I realize my project idea at the proposed location at all?
Before significant resources are released for planning permission, it is advisable to review the planned location for its suitability and compatibility with the specific project. An approvability study will serve that purpose. In order to avoid unpleasant surprises later on, this study examines in particular:
- necessary permit(s) (Federal Immission Control Act, Water Management Act, Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health, building regulations, etc.)
- spatial planning / regional planning
- land use plan (LUP),
- urban land-use planning (development plan),
- nature conservation (protected areas such as habitats, special protected areas, nature reserves, landscape conservation areas),
- water pollution control (groundwater and surface water, floodplains, etc.)
- pollution control (air pollution, noise, odour, etc.)
- infrastructure (electricity, water, sewage, gas, public transport) and
- contaminated sites.
